If you haven’t entered a music festival before, don’t worry – you’re in for a great time! All you need to do is to select a class or classes in which you would like to sing or play from the syllabus, decide which music you would like to perform, and put your entry in.
The 2018 syllabus is currently in preparation and should be out by early February, but you can see last year’s syllabus here. There will be very little change this year, so you can start choosing your pieces and practising as soon as you want to.
Entries close on the 29th of March, so you have some time to decide what you want to do, but don’t leave it so long you forget to put your entry in!
Enter by Post
Just print out the Entry_Form, fill it in and post it to us with your entry fee. If you are under 18, ask your parent or music teacher to send the form in for you.
We are trialling a new festival management system this year, and are expecting that it will be possible to enter online. Watch this space for more information!
What Happens Next?
Once we have decided which categories to run and sorted out the timetable we will contact you to let you know exactly what time your class will be held. Many of our entrants are supported by their music teachers but we welcome anyone who would like to have a chance to meet other musicians, compare their playing with other peoples’ and be given an expert outside opinion.
If you have any questions we would be delighted to hear from you.
