Tom Carr – 2020 Festival Accompanist (27th June)
The Festival is very grateful to the Official Accompanists for all their hard work in providing such a high standard of musicianship and support for our entrants.
The Festival has recently restructured the fees so that no extra fee is required for the use of an official accompanist. Sadly we cannot offer a discount to those who choose to bring their own. The official accompanist will not be available for piano or guitar classes.
Tom is in his third year reading music at St Hilda’s College. He is
taught piano by Jonathan Powell. Tom is in high demand as a
répétiteur and his operatic work over the last three years has included three world premieres, as well as such classic operas as Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress (New Chamber Opera, February 2018), Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (Oxford Alternative Orchestra,
February 2019), and Mozart’s Don Giovanni (Oxford Alternative
Orchestra, January 2020).
