Wantage Music Festival offers a platform for amateur musicians and singers of all ages to perform in front of an expert adjudicator and to receive verbal and written feedback. An experienced accompanist is also available.

It is competitive, but the emphasis is on education and encouragement. There are opportunities for the best singers and instrumentalists to compete for cash prizes or trophies. There are also non-competitive classes for those who would like to perform and receive feedback but would prefer not to be graded.

All sessions are open to the public for a small fee, and the festival culminates with a public concert of selected prizewinners.
