Pianists have a rare opportunity to perform on the world class Fazioli F228 concert grand piano, considered by many to be one of the finest brands of piano in the world. And there is a second concert grand available – a Yamaha C7, which means that piano  duets have the choice of playing on one or two pianos. Piano duets and six-hands performances have become a feature of this Festival over the years.

There are age related classes from 9 and under to open (any age including adults) as well as grade related classes from beginner (any age) and Pre-Grade 1 through to grade 7 and 8. Those who would like to give a slightly longer performance also have recital classes for all age groups.

Solo entrants are eligible to be nominated for the John Durrant prize worth £100 (for ages 18 and under) or the Ken Cooper cup (over 18s).

See also the Miscellaneous section for details of classes such as  concerto, composition, entertainment and the special 40th Anniversary class. And entrants to the organ classes have the opportunity to perform on a beautiful 4-manual digital organ by Veritas.
